The New York Jets have signed former Texans offensive lineman Jeff Adams.
Adams played tackle and guard for the Texans.
Adams' contract had expired with the Texans and he was signed by the Jets as an unrestricted free agent.
He suffered a knee injury during the 2015 season that required surgery and was re-signed for last season. He was on and off the practice squad.
The 6-7, 305-pound former Columbia standout is a former undrafted free agent who's had stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans.
He was acquired off waivers by the Texans in 2015 and appeared in four games and two starts over two seasons.
