Veteran free safety Rahim Moore landed a solid free agent deal with the Cleveland Browns despite a disappointing season with the Texans last year.
Moore signed a one-year contract worth $1.85 million one year after signing a three-year, $12 million deal with the Texans and later being replaced as the starter after seven games.
Moore's new contract in Cleveland, which is following a new "Moneyball" approach focused primarily on allowing veterans to leave the roster, has a $1.45 million nonguaranteed base salary and a $400,000 signing bonus.
finished the season with 16 tackles and one interception. After being replaced following a debacle of a loss to the Miami Dolphins, Moore was inactive for the remainder of the season.
