ATLANTA – Despite playing only seven games with the Texans and being released with seven games remaining in the 2013 season, free safety Ed Reed made the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Reed, regarded as the best free safety in history because of his outstanding career with the Baltimore Ravens, was part of the Class of the 2019 that was voted on by the 48-member selection committee.
Reed was joined by tight end Tony Gonzalez, cornerback Champ Bailey, cornerback Ty Law, center Kevin Mawae, free safety Johnny Robinson, owner Pat Bowlen and personnel director Gil Brandt.
