Versatile former Texans running back Jonathan Grimes will remain in the AFC South division.
Grimes was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday as the team waived-injured running back Tyler Gaffney and offensive tackle Branden Albert from the reserve-retired list.
Although he dealt with a cracked fibula and an illness last season, Grimes rushed for 105 yards on 23 carries. He caught 13 passes for 94 yards.
The third-down back rushed for a season-high 43 yards on five carries against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field as he averaged 8.6 yards per carry.
In 2015, Grimes rushed for a career-high 282 yards and a touchdown and had 26 receptions for 173 yards and one score.
