Former Texans cornerback Aaron Colvin has been signed by Washington, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
The Texans will carry a total of $10.615 million in dead money over the next two years after terminating Colvin's four-year, $34 million contract that included $18 million guaranteed.
Colvin, cut for performance issues after a rocky first season last year and allowing 8 of 9 completions for 117 yards and at least one touchdown in a loss to the Saints on Monday night, still gets paid the remainder of his fully guaranteed $7.5 million base salary this year.
