SAN FRANCISCO – For the first time since 2006, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will have two quarterbacks inducted in the same year.
Brett Favre and Kenny Stabler, who played two seasons (1980-81) with the Oilers, were voted into the Class of 2016 on Saturday. The last time two quarterbacks were inducted in the same year was 10 years ago when Warren Moon and Troy Aikman were enshrined.
Until Saturday, no quarterback had been elected since Moon and Aikman.
Favre and Stabler are part of the eight-member class that will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio on Aug.
