BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Philadelphia offensive coordinator Frank Reich was asked this week if his players know he led the greatest come-from-behind victory in NFL history.
In that Jan. 3, 1993 wild-card game against the Oilers at Buffalo, Reich was the Bills’ starring quarterback in place of the injured Jim Kelly. They trailed the Oilers 35-3 in the third quarter before rallying and winning 41-38 in overtime.
“I think they are,” Reich said. “To be honest, it’s been so long ago I try not to talk about it very much, but every once in a while when the comeback game shows on television, somebody will say something.
