Last year Duane Brown was traded after returning from a holdout and playing one game with the Houston Texans. The Texans lost to the Seahawks in a nail-biter, and Houston traded him to Seattle afterwards.
Leading up to the trade, Brown refused to report for OTAs, training camp, and the first six games of the 2017 regular season. People speculated it was an attempt by the Texans’ starting left tackle to get one last pay day before retiring a Texan.
Brown himself didn’t say anything publicly about the matter.
