Overcoming a torn quadriceps tendon to return to play and be named a Pro Bowl alternate, veteran offensive tackle Duane Brown was voted the Texans' Ed Block Courage Award winner by his teammates.
Brown injured his leg last season and underwent surgery. He returned roughly nine months later for the fifth game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings.
A three-time Pro Bowl left tackle, Brown hasn't allowed a sack and has been flagged for holding once. The Texans have 1,000-yard rushers in six of nine seasonws with Brown as Lamar Miller gained 1,073 yards this season.
