On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Houston Texans All-Pro Duane Brown will commemorate "Duane Brown Day" in Houston. To celebrate, Duane and his wife, Devi Brown, are making a donation to the group that nominated him for the honor in 2014, the Houston Parks and Recreation Department's Recreation and Wellness Division. Since 2009, Duane has sponsored the department through a team ticketing program called TACT.
“Last year was very surreal,” said Brown. “I can’t really say that I think about it as ‘my’ day, but more of a celebration of the organizations and lives that I’ve had the privilege of impacting throughout my time in Houston.
