In 2013, the Houston Texans drafted David Quessenberry in the 6th round. After OTAs and preseason, the Guard was prepped to play some role for the team in its most horrific season in recent memory. Sadly, “Q,” broke his foot in practice before he ever played a down under Gary Kubiak’s regime.
In the summer of 2014, Q looked ready to make his mark in Bill O’Brien’s first season, but was battling fatigue and a persistent cough. Concerned, the Texans sent him for tests, which came back with a diagnosis of non-Hodgkins T lymphoblastic lymphoma. He was placed on the Non-Football Injury list.
