Dallas Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant was proud to show off his new pet monkey last week. He posted a photo on Instagram of him holding the baby capuchin and called the pet his "new best friend" and said he named the monkey Dallas Bryant.
Now, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants DeSoto to make Dez get rid of Dallas.
Apparently, it was cool when Ross from Friends has a pet monkey, but not so cool when an NFL player does it.
PETA released this statement Monday morning:
"Monkeys belong in the wild - not in the hands of football players who acquire exotic animals just to make a splash on Instagram.
