Now that Deshaun Watson won't face criminal charges in the sexual assault allegations he's had hanging over his head for nearly a year, trade talks for the Texans quarterback could progress quickly. Several NFL teams have been interested in acquiring Watson, but it was almost an impossible task with him facing possible criminal charges.
The NFL still is investigating Watson and, with the criminal investigation completed, could quickly reach a decision on any punishment Watson could face.
"We have been closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review of the personal conduct policy," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement released to the media Friday.
