The rookie quarterback injured his knee last Thursday during practice, was placed on injured reserve Friday, and was operated on today by team medical director/head team physician/team orthopedist Dr. Walter Lowe.
“Doc Lowe said it was great," head coach Bill O'Brien said. "Everything went great.”
O'Brien also said that Watson will continue to be around the facilities, as well as his teammates and coaches, in the coming weeks and months.
"He won’t be there this week, but yeah, he’s very involved," O'Brien said.
