Texans veteran offensive tackle Derek Newton participated fully for the second consecutive day and is set to start Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Newton missed the entire preseason with a strained hamstring suffered during the first day of full pads in training camp, but has made a good recovery.
Newton is expected to have a normal workload, barring a setback or fatigue issues. If he needs a break, he'll be spelled by backup right tackle Kendall Lamm.
