The NFL named Houston Texans S the AFC Defensive Player of the Month following his performance in the team’s final five games of the regular season.
Quintin Demps recorded 22 tackles (16 solo), four interceptions, six passes defensed and one tackle for loss over the last month of the season, helping the Texans to a 3-2 record. He posted an interception in each of his last four games to close the season, which is a franchise record and the longest interception streak in the NFL this year.
Demps finished the regular season leading all NFL safeties with a career-high six interceptions and tied for second in the NFL overall.
