When the Texans lost Deshaun Watson to a season-ending knee injury in 2017, the team's top wide receiver had a possible replacement in mind.
DeAndre Hopkins told GQ in an interview published Tuesday that he wanted the Texans to take a look at Colin Kaepernick, who hasn't played in the NFL since 2016 after his anti-police brutality protests during the national anthem, after Watson was lost to a knee injury after a week 8 loss at Seattle.
And when the Texans opted not to give Kaepernick a look. Hopkins said he was angry.
"Yeah, I was upset," the All-Pro receiver said.
