We've all been there. Your cell phone slips out of your hand, and your body goes into full-on freak-out mode trying to catch the precious device before it hits the ground.
That exact thing happened to Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden on Memorial Day weekend, when he went to save his phone and fell directly on his elbow, fracturing it in the process.
"Cracked his elbow instead of the phone," said Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown, who recounted the story Tuesday at the team's minicamp.
Although the fall happened weeks ago, McFadden practiced through the pain at the team's OTAs last week.
