The comeback is complete for Texans Pro Bowl alternate offensive tackle Duane Brown.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection has overcome a torn quadriceps tendon suffered nearly a year ago at the end of the regular season that required surgery and months of grueling rehabilitation.
A year ago, Brown was unable to participate in the playoffs. Now, Brown is heading to the postseason with the newly crowned AFC South division champions after starting every week since the fifth game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings.
"It's beautiful," Brown said. "I remember last year at this time in this locker room, guys celebrating, me putting a hat on with an air cast on.
