Jadeveon Clowney is expected to be fine after he left Sunday’s game against Tennessee with a back injury.
“Jadeveon Clowney, I would say he is day-to-day,” head coach Bill O’Brien said Monday.
Clowney suffered no structural damage to his back, according to O’Brien. He hurt his back in the first quarter and tried to re-enter the game on the next series. After re-aggravating it, Clowney left the game for good and headed to the locker room.
Clowney was coming off a Week 7 performance where he led the team with a career-high eight tackles (seven solo), including two for a loss and a sack, the first of his NFL career, at Miami.
