Cliff Branch, Casey Hampton headline 2017 Gridiron Legends class

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. - The 2017 Class of Gridiron Legends has a combined five Super Bowl rings.

Oakland wide receiver Cliff Branch, a Houston native who played at Worthing High, won three Super Bowl rings.

Pittsburgh nose tackle Casey Hampton, a Galveston native and Ball High School product, earned two Super Bowl rings.

Others in the new class of legends as selected by the Texas Bowl Committee are Baylor receiver Lawrence Elkins, Rice quarterback Chase Clement and Emory Bellard, the late high school and coaching legend at Texas A&M and Texas.

The class of 2017 will be introduced at the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff Game between LSU and Brigham Young Sept.
