The Houston Texans’ preseason opener at the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio was a showcase for the team’s reserves. Friday’s matchup at the Pittsburgh Steelers will be more like the regular season, at least for a portion of the evening.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday he expects C.J. Stroud, Stefon Diggs and the rest of Houston’s starters to play in Friday’s preseason game at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. Houston’s current starting offensive and defensive units did not play in last week’s 21-17 loss against the Chicago Bears.
