C.J Stroud quickly endeared himself to Houston Texans fans as well as his teammates and coaches during a dazzling rookie season in 2023. The young quarterback also earned some seriously high marks for his meetings with the media.
Stroud was honored with the aptly-named “Good Guy Award” by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) on Wednesday. Stroud is the 20th recipient of the award and the first Texans’ player to receive the nod. He edged four fellow finalists for the award, Cleveland Browns guard Joel Bitonio, Buffalo Bills tackle Dion Dawkins, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
