C.J. Stroud often refers to defensive back Derek Stingley Jr. as the most talented player on the Houston Texans' roster. Stroud’s player evaluation was validated Sunday afternoon.
Stingley, Houston's leading corner and the No. 3 pick in the 2022 NFL draft, notched two interceptions off Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in Sunday's 20-12 win at NRG Stadium. The LSU product snatched a red zone pick early in the fourth quarter when matched up in single coverage with Miami Dolphins superstar Tyreek Hill. Tagovailoa then tested Stingley against Hill with just under two minutes remaining.
