The city of Houston is honoring retired Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson with a proclamation.
Sunday is being designated as "Andre Johnson Day," and he and his family and friends will be presented Tuesday at City Hall.
Johnson is being inducted into the Texans' Ring of Honor on Sunday at NRG Stadium as their inaugural member during a game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Johnson, 36, played for the Texans for a dozen seasons. He signed a one-day contract in April to officially retire as a Texan after playing one season apiece for the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
