The Texans still don’t have a general manager. Their current head coach is Romeo Crennel, who will not coach the team next year. Texans owner Cal, or Kyle, McNair, is embarking on the hardest task an owner of a team faces, picking a head coach and a general manager to run his professional football team.
Kyle isn’t a football expert. This has been made abundantly clear by the amount of control he gave O’Brien, and his comments regarding why DeAndre Hopkins was traded (Money and salary cap ramifications had nothing to do with it). To help with the search of the newest Texans head coach and general manger he has put together an ad-hoc advisory committee that includes: Tony Dungy and Jimmy Johnson, Andre Johnson, RC Buford, and Rod Graves.
