Brock Osweiler's return to Denver proved a start-to-finish nightmare Monday night as the Super Bowl champion Broncos got back on track after back-to-back losses and an early 6-0 deficit with a 27-9 victory over the Texans.
It proved a doubly rewarding, hugely satisfying night for the home team and their fans, who went home no doubt overjoyed that Osweiler took the Texans' $72 million offer during free agency and decamped for Houston. Peyton Manning's former backup failed to direct a single touchdown drive in his worst performance to date, coming on the heels of a near-miraculous Sunday-night comeback against Indianapolis that had briefly quelled fan frustration with him.
