HOUSTON -- Quarterback Brock Osweiler led the Houston Texans down the field in Houston’s 34-24 victory against the Arizona Cardinals, looking like the player the Texans were hoping for when he signed a four-year, $72 million contract in March.
But though the Texans’ third preseason game looked like the first time Osweiler and the Texans offense had really clicked this preseason, Pro Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins said what the world saw in that game was nothing he doesn’t see every day in practice.
Veteran receiver Cecil Shorts III echoed Hopkins’ statement, saying he has been impressed with what his quarterback has been doing since he joined the Texans during the offseason.
