It was with great pleasure that I spent a few hours yesterday reviewing every first quarter snap of the Texans preseason opener against the 49ers. As a whole I would say that it was a very positive team performance in the first 15 minutes, but there were a host of issues that still need to be corrected on both sides of the ball. Some of the veterans were logging their first semi-meaningful snaps at new positions, the rookies began their collective baptism by fire, and of course Bill O’Brien got to experiment with the new PAT rules right off the bat.
