Breaking down Texans tackle Matt Kalil's $7.5 million contract

Related Topics: Matt Kalil, Texas, Pro Bowl

Newly-acquired Texans offensive tackle Matt Kalil's one-year contract has a maximum value of $7.5 million.

That is contingent on him remaining healthy, though.

The former Pro Bowl selection has a $2.25 million signing bonus and a $3.25 million base salary.

Kalil can make $125,000 per game that he's on the 46-man roster.

If the former Minnesota Vikings first-round draft pick spends the entire season on injured reserve, he would be due a base salary of $1.5 million.
