The Texans' investment in veteran offensive tackle Breno Giacomini was relatively inexpensive.
The Texans signed the former New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks starter to a one-year, $2.75 million contract. It included a $750,000 signing bonus for Giacomini, who's expected to compete for the starting right tackle job.
Giacomini got a $1 million nonguaranteed base salary and can make up to $1 million more through a per-game active roster bonus if he's on the 46-man gameday roster for all 16 regular-season games.
Meanwhile, the Texans' contract for new linebacker Sio Moore was a one-year, $775,000 deal.
