For the first time since 2012, there won't be a J.J. Watt Charity Classic.
The popular softball game, which the 3-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year started in 2013, is on hiatus for a year. In a Sunday night Tweet, Watt explained he'll instead use the time to heal his injured knee and to focus on continuing hurricane recovery efforts and after-school programs.
The Charity Classic will return next year, as I have taken this year to focus on getting my leg/body ready for the season, the ongoing hurricane recovery efforts & our after-school athletic programs.
