Bill O'Brien laments 'lost relationships' during Texans GM tenure

Former Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien stands among the most accomplished coaches in franchise history, with a quartet of playoff appearances and two postseason wins on his NFL head coaching resume, but a rise toward championship contention quickly ended after O'Brien was dismissed four games into the 2020 season.

O'Brien reflected on his seemingly-swift exit over the weekend.

The 54-year-old coach discussed his Houston tenure and a variety of other topics during an appearance on the Next Up with Adam Breneman podcast. The current Boston College head coach said he enjoyed his time as the Texans' head coach, but noted his added responsibility as the team's general manager likely hampered his success.
