The tight end position wasn't exactly ignored completely last season in the Texans' game plan.
It was never a vital part of the offense, though, beyond blocking and the occasional target for C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin.
Griffin caught 20 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns while being targeted just 34 times. Fiedorowicz caught 17 of 24 passes thrown to him for 167 yards and one touchdown. And Garrett Graham, who signed a one-year, $840,000 contract with the Denver Broncos after being cut by the Texans, caught just four passes for 30 yards and one score on 19 targets
After not addressing the position during the draft, Texans coach Bill O'Brien expressed confidence in the returning tight ends.
