INDIANAPOLIS - Standing on the sideline, holding a play-sheet and communicating with Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, coach Bill O'Brien operated as his own offensive coordinator last season.
While O'Brien isn't expected to turn over play-calling duties to newly-promoted offensive coordinator Tim Kelly, that doesn't mean he won't groom him for that role in the future.

O'Brien remains noncommittal on whether Kelly will be given that responsibility, but expressed confidence in his knowledge of the offense and ability to communicate with players.
