The Texans will start Brock Osweiler at quarterback Saturday in an AFC wild-card playoff game against the Oakland Raiders with Tom Savage remaining under the NFL concussion protocol.
Osweiler was the starter after being signed to a $72 million contract in March, but threw 16 interceptions and was replaced by Savage during a comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
If Savage clears under the concussion protocol, then he'll be the backup. If Savage doesn't clear the protocol, Brandon Weeden will be the backup.
Osweiler now gets to start in the postseason after replacing Savage and playing well against the Tennessee Titans.
