HOUSTON -- Until recently, the Texans had a fan in space.
Astronaut Scott Kelly returned on March 1 from a 340-day mission on the international space station. When he left Earth, the Texans were embroiled in a competition between quarterbacks Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett. A week after he returned, they signed Brock Osweiler to a four-year deal worth $72 million with $37 million guaranteed.
The astronaut was happy.
As excited about the arrival of @HoustonTexans new quarterback as my arrival back to #Earth after my #YearInSpace!
