BOCA RATON, Fla. – There is a good chance the Texans will be playing on artificial surface at NRG Stadium for a second consecutive season and beyond.
Early last season, problems with the tray system that allowed them to play on natural grace caused the Texans to switch to their AstroTurf field that's also used for college and high school games.
Unlike the tray system that caused some opposing players and coaches to complain through the years, there were no issues with the AstroTurf Field.
"We're seriously looking at that," owner Bob McNair said Monday during the NFL spring meetings.
