Houston Texans running back Arian Foster had surgery Friday to repair a groin muscle that he injured Monday night during the first padded practice of training camp. According to Tania Ganguli of ESPN the muscle tear was so bad that it had actually separated from the bone.

Although a timetable for his return is unclear, there’s hope that his recovery time will be shorter than three months, the source said.
