Arian Foster "in the plans" for 2016

He suffered an Achilles injury in Week 7 at Miami.

General manager Rick Smith met with the 2010 NFL rushing king recently, and is optimistic about Foster’s return to the gridiron.

“He’s got the right mindset,” Smith said on Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “He came in and talked to me a couple weeks ago to make sure that we knew that. He’ll bounce back. He’ll be fine.”

Foster played in four games last season, carrying the ball 63 times for 163 yards and a score. He was

injured in the fourth quarter of loss to the Dolphins.
