Cut by the Texans following an extremely disappointing season, veteran free safety Rahim Moore is embracing his fresh start with the Cleveland Browns.
At a time when the Browns' free agent strategy and new "Moneyball" approach has focused primarily on allowing veterans to leave the roster, Moore is an inexpensive addition on a modest one-year contract.
Moore signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Texans a year ago, but was benched after seven games and six starts and finished the season with 16 tackles and one interception. After being replaced following a debacle of a loss to the Miami Dolphins, Moore was inactive for the remainder of the season.
