It's been eleven years, but now the NFL is returning to Mexico and two experts who were there to witness the last NFL game in the country give their perspective on the move.
Alvaro Martin and Raul Allegre are expert analysts for ESPN Deportes. Allegre has the added insight of having played in the league for years as a kicker.
Both agreed that the crowds in 2005 were an asset to the league's worldwide exposure and expect another excellent turnout to watch the Houston Texans take on the Oakland Raiders.
They pointed out that part of the reason the NFL didn't return to Mexico sooner is because Estadio Azteca, the site of the game, needed crucial updating, which has now been done.
