After early focus on offense, Texans could address defense on draft's last day

The Texans' draft has had a singular focus, concentrating on upgrading an offense following a disastrous performance during a shutout playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

All three of the Texans' top draft picks have been offensive players, including Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller in the first round, Notre Dame center Nick Martin in the second round and Ohio State wide receiver Braxton Miller in the third round.

The Texans bypassed some defensive linemen, but many of the top 3-4 draft prospects went off the board during the second day of the draft. That included Alabama defensive tackles A'Shawn Robinson and Jarran Reed, Clemson defensive end Kevin Dodd, Mississippi State's Chris Jones, Illinois' Jihad Ward and Ohio State's Adolphus Washington.
