True to his word, Houston Texans general manager Brian Gaine is electing to build the team’s future core through the NFL draft. Gaine drafted the players that he believed were going to be long term starters for the Texans down the road. The Texans had two important issues to address with the uncertainty at the cornerback and offensive tackle situation.
Gaine stuck to his plan and kept all of his remaining picks going into the draft with the exception of his fourth-round selection that he traded with the Denver Broncos to acquire veteran Pro Bowl wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas.
