49ers players kneel during national anthem before Texans game

San Francisco 49ers players Eric Reid, Marquise Goodwin and Eli Harold took a knee during the national anthem before their game against the Houston Texans on Sunday at NRG Stadium.

Reid and Harold have been kneeling during the anthem since last season when they joined then-teammate Colin Kaepernick's social justice movement.

Goodwin, who starred at the University of Texas, joined the 49ers in the offseason. Goodwin also took a knee last week alongside Reid.

Reid, who is a devout Christian, has said he kneels because he wants to be a "voice for the voiceless," a lesson from a Bible verse in Proverbs.
