The Texans had problems along their interior defensive line last season without D.J. Reader around. Ross Blacklock had less sacks than punches thrown. P.J. Hall was more bust than boom, and almost made plays. Brandon Dunn is still malleable. Houston’s run defense plummeted with Reader in Cincinnati and Benardrick McKinney on the injured reserve.
In an attempt to help matters, the Texans have taken a flier on a big man, and Vincent Taylor is a very big man. Taylor is a former sixth round pick of the Miami Dolphins, who spent last season in Cleveland, and comes in at 6’3” and 311 lbs.
