Your Houston Texans survived the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft without trading away J.J. Watt for a handful of magic beans or sending Deshaun Watson to the Patriots for an autographed box of Kraft Mac n Cheese. There was much rejoicing!
At 6 pm CDT tonight, the second round begins. A mere eight picks in, the Texans will be on the clock with the 40th overall draft pick. Maybe. As of this writing, Houston still holds the 40th pick, but we’ve all seen Bill O’Brien’s devil-may-care attitude when it comes to tossing assets around like a kid in a candy store who seems to change his “master plan” every time a shiny, new jawbreaker or gumball catches his eye.
