Many Texans fans were less than thrilled when the team traded up in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft to select Charlie Heck, an offensive tackle out of North Carolina. The prevailing wisdom was that the Texans certainly had needs on the interior of the offensive line, but that using a fourth-round pick on a guy whose realistic ceiling may be as your backup swing tackle was not the best use of limited resources, particularly considering the other players still available at that point in the proceedings.
