I’ll never forget the 2014 NFL Draft. I was drowning at the time and I didn’t even know it. As I was bobbing in the water, the Texans selected Jadeveon Clowney ho hum number one overall. Then the quarterbacks fell and fell and fell. Houston could get one. Houston could get the quarterback I wanted. Then they didn’t. The Vikings jumped ahead of Houston and selected Teddy Bridgewater, the Texans drafted Xavier Su’a-Filo the next morning, and the Raiders and Broncos lapped up Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo.
