NFL Free Agency is officially here, and the next few days will feature at least a few Houston Texans rumors. The Texans were big spenders early, and they might not be done yet. With that in mind, here are all of the interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Texans.
Don't Expect Andre Johnson To Return To Houston
When the Colts cut Andre Johnson a few weeks ago, there was speculation that Johnson could return to Houston to finish his career. However, that doesn't appear likely. There has been credible link between Johnson and the Texans. Johnson is 34 years old and looks pretty close to washed up. The Texans are going to stick with DeAndre Hopkins as the No. 1 WR, for good reason, and Jaelen Strong has potential as the No. 2. The team is much more likely to draft another WR than sign an aging Johnson.
Brian Hoyer Wants To Stay?
The addition of Brock Osweiler was a clear sign that QB Brian Hoyer would no longer be the starting QB. Despite that, Hoyer wants to stay with Houston.
I'm told #Texans QB Brian Hoyer loves playing for head coach Bill O'Brien and doesn't intend on leaving Houston.

Hoyer was mentioned as a possibly trade candidate, but he could easily serve as the team's veteran backup.
Texans Bring Back Jonathan Grimes
The Texans landed RB Lamar Miller, but also are keeping RB Jonathan Grimes.
RB Jonathan Grimes returns to the #Texans on a one-year deal.

The money involved hasn't been announced, but it's likely a cheap deal. Grimes wasn't that great when he played last season, but he can contribute as a backup.
